  • Quick Locking System - TerraWest made it their mission to create a probe with speed and with a deployment time of 6 seconds from quick release cover to a fully assembled probe and 14 seconds from ski backpack to assembled probe | TerraWest managed to achieve this by adding a quick automatic locking system to the top of the probe, this offers deployment in one motion.

  • Prominent Depth Markers have been used within this probe to determine burial depth and which shovel method you use.

Collapsing your probe

  1. Click the locking button and pull the handle to release the tension on the probe.

  2. Hold the EVA foam on the first segment and pull the segment right up to the handle.

  3. Now all of the tension has been released you can collapse the probe segment by segment

  4. Tip: When collapsing the probe segment by segment, ensure there is some coated cord so it makes collapsing easier.
